Gilleran's Island

Americana soul pop duo Gilleran's Island performs original music plus favorites from the twenties to the present. They take artistic license with a wide range of styles including contemporary pop, folk, jazz, latin, rock, island style, etc!  Smooth and strong vocals are at the forefront, guitar beautiful and bold, and violin in lovely tune and tone. Violinist Terra Jean Otto is classically trained and a skilled improviser with the ability to move fluidly through multiple styles. Mentored by Vassar Clements, she has shared the stage with him and his Little Big Band, as well as performances with Peter Rowan (Old and in the Way). She has also performed with John Cowan (New Grass Revival), Howard Levy (Bela Fleck and the Flecktones), Leftover Salmon, and String Cheese Incident. Songwriter and guitarist John Gilleran is a classically trained singer and toured Europe as a featured soloist in a madrigal choir. He was signed by Warner Bros. early in his career and recorded a hit, Summer Sun
