Fricassee Cajun Band was formed on September
7th of 2007 and was originally called Cajun Trio
Band. The members all met while participating in
Cajun Jam Sessions in Lafayette, La. As they
sat in on the jam sessions they became closer
friends and enjoyed playing together. After
little discussion, they decided to form a
Cajun trio band and named the band the same.
Fricassee band is a tightly mixed group
of musicians, each having many years of playing
experiences. Although the band was recently
formed, all of the members of Fricassee Band
have been playing Cajun music for many years.
Listening to them play is like taking a step back in
time and hearing a Cajun band sitting and playing
music in someones living room, front porch, or
dance hall. One can almost envision those days.
